Miranda Warning

The constitutional rights advisory that law enforcement must give to suspects in custodial interrogation.

Miranda warnings are the rights advisory that police must deliver to individuals in custodial interrogation, stemming from Miranda v. Arizona (1966). Failure to properly administer Miranda warnings can result in suppression of statements. When reviewing body-cam footage, attorneys need to determine whether Miranda was read, when it was read, and whether it was properly administered. AI key moment detection can flag when Miranda-related language appears in footage, helping attorneys quickly locate this critical procedural checkpoint.
